The forest experience starts as soon as you reach this resort in the buffer zone. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, with air conditioning, room heaters, and hot and cold water available around the clock. We especially enjoyed the evenings by the pool, with staff-organized bonfires. Mr Wasim, who manages Asteya resorts at Kanha and Nagzhira, was welcoming and took us on a memorable forest trek. He knows a great deal about wildlife in the Indian subcontinent, and we learned a lot from him. Ms Madhuri, the resort's only woman driver, took us on jungle safaris. She was cheerful and warm. The staff were very polite and hospitable, and the food was excellent, especially the desserts. A wonderful place to stay in Kanha.

We'd happily come back again. The resort sits in a natural habitat and was developed without cutting down the plantations. The food is simple and tasty, and the staff were helpful and polite. The safari driver, whose name I unfortunately forgot, was called “the tigress.” She was enthusiastic and shared useful information about Kanha National Park, even more than the guides did. It felt like a great place for families, couples, or solo travelers. Thanks for the hospitality, Asteya, and keep growing.

I booked Asteya resort at Nagzhira, Maharashtra, through ibibo for 1st jan 2021. When I arrived, the resort was closed, and the caretaker told me it had been shut since the covid outbreak. I called the owner, and his behavior was unforgivable. Please don't go to Asteya resorts. The owner is the worst fellow you will ever know.

A nice getaway to spend time with family or friends and take a break from the usual routine. Bring an Idea network connection if you need to work, since the other networks aren't available.

So much greenery and peace here, and the staff were really hospitable. The food was delicious too. What an amazing place to stay, we had a wonderful experience. ❤
