Sonu took thoughtful care of my dietary needs, which I really appreciated. My room was clean and comfortable, and everyone made the stay feel warm and welcoming. As a solo woman travelling, I felt completely safe and looked after at Kamp Kamouflage Kanha. Peak season made the entry gate chaotic, and I missed one morning safari. The alternative nature walk to the Banjar River was delightful and memorable in its own way. Baru arranged everything smoothly, from airport transfers and park gate drops to safaris, bonfires, and all the little details. Baru and Robin work really well together, and their combined luck got me a last-minute safari into the Kanha core zone. I didn't see the tiger, so I'm blaming Baru for that 😉. I'll definitely return with a better planned trip. Book safari tickets well ahead, and Baru can guide you on that. A wonderful stay.

Kamp Kamouflage feels like a home away from home, with hot, freshly cooked meals and packed breakfasts for morning safaris. There are five rooms and a tree house, all equipped for Central India's extreme climate. The staff were extremely polite and helpful, and we had a wonderful stay. Rajesh's company made it 10 times better. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a budget stay in Kanha with comfortable rooms and great meals. The farm stay is in Sarekha village, beside the Kisli buffer zone, on 3.7 acres of greenery. It was a welcome break from city life, with morning dew, winter sun, birdsong, butterflies, and occasional wildlife glimpses, including a deer crossing and a jackal calling. It's about 26 km, or 30 minutes, from Khatiya gate and 34 km, or 40 minutes, from Mukki gate. Both are a little distance away but easy to reach. Rajesh Baruah hosts the property and is a naturalist registered with all national parks in Madhya Pradesh. Ask him to join your safaris. His wildlife and nature experience adds a lot. He also went out of his way more than once to help us get to a safari on time, and offered a change of cuisine and filter coffee when we felt homesick. On our first day, we had time to explore the property and walk into the buffer zone. In the evenings, we enjoyed cozy bonfires and casual conversations about nature, wildlife, shared interests, and jungle life. 10/10.

All the food is included, and you're well looked after at this camp in Kanha's buffer zone. Baru was kind and gave me a few short rides for a locally reasonable price. He also helped me book a tatkal safari.

We hadn't visited Kanha National Park before, so Baru's help made the whole process smooth and hassle-free. We didn't stay at Kamp Kamouflage, but a friend put us in touch with Mr. Rajesh Baruah, fondly known as Baru. He advised us on safari zones, arranged the park entry tickets, and helped book jeeps and knowledgeable guides. He even shared contacts for places to stay and eat in Khatia and Mocha, and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. With his advice and support, we had a wonderful safari and saw the animals we came for, two TIGERS! The place felt like heaven. We also saw Barasingha deer, jackals, wild boar, stags, Neelgai, huge bison, different kinds of beautiful birds, and mesmerizing colorful butterflies. We're grateful for Baru's generous, selfless help. Highly recommended.
