We were travelling with a toddler, so we needed a few changes to the food. They were happy to customize it, which helped us a lot. This is a clean, family-run resort with management that was very cooperative and focused on quality. It’s in a quiet spot, ideal if you want a tranquil vacation, and the nearby beach was clean and serene too.
The Konkani food was delicious, made with lots of love by the family running the resort. Our room was clean and tidy, with an awesome view of the sea. It’s a peaceful, beautiful place with a wide stretch of beach right in front, and a lovely choice for a trip with family or friends. Highly recommend visiting when you’re in Guhagar.
The beach is only a two-minute walk away, and the prices were affordable. Our rooms were clean, the food was good, and the staff were very friendly. We tried the veg, fish, and chicken thalis and were happy with all of them. No complaints during our visit.
I hadn’t planned to stop in Guhagar while riding along the Konkan coast, but I got lucky and spent a couple of days in this peaceful, serene spot. The beach nearby was deserted and only a few hundred meters away. Our room was spacious, neat, and cozy, and at night we could hear the water lapping. The family welcomed us warmly, and local food specialties were available on site.
This really is a homestay: clean, comfortable, peaceful, and homely, with good food. It’s about 10 minutes from the bus stand by car or another vehicle, and too far to walk, so having your own vehicle is preferable. The place is right opposite the beach. If you eat fish, you can buy a fresh catch from the sea and the woman who runs the place will cook it into a tasty lunch or dinner. Otherwise, you can choose from their menu, which has tasty local flavors too.
