We stayed for a few days with coworkers at this hidden spot deep in the mountains. It was such a relief to get away from the overstimulation of city life; I hadn't even realized we had brain fog until we were breathing fresh mountain air. The host and staff welcomed us warmly and looked after us well, and the food was great. The lounge and library were a great addition. We barely looked at our phones during the stay. 10/10, highly recommend.

The staff were warm and helpful, and the villa felt thoughtfully put together, from the rooms to the small details. It's a peaceful, very aesthetic place to unwind, make content, or just enjoy some quiet time. We had a lovely stay and I'd happily come back.

That quiet breakfast in the garden, with the Himalayan peaks in view, ended up being my favourite part. We spent two nights at The Bugyal, Kanatal, and the team even made lemon water for us before we headed back to Rishikesh when the hilly drive had left us feeling a little uneasy. Hot water was available any time, and checkout was easy. Getting there was part of the adventure. We came from Rishikesh railway station by taxi, then took a short 4×4 Gypsy ride through the forest because vehicles park on the other side of the ridge. The resort sits beyond it, surrounded by trees and flowers, with wonderful views of the major Himalayan peaks. We had booked a Superior Cottage and were kindly moved to a Deluxe Cottage. Tyagi ji, Pundir ji, Ritik ji and Kishan ji were attentive and made us feel at home. Breakfast and dinner were served according to our preferences, and the staff were polite and always willing to help. Ritik ji also led a lovely little trek through Kaudia Forest and took photos for us. The welcome and check-in were smooth, and the management looked after us with real warmth, almost as if we were personal guests. It was a peaceful break from the city, and I’d recommend it to families or anyone looking for a restful stay around Kanatal.

Ritik Chauhan was especially helpful and made sure we had what we needed throughout our stay. The rooms were clean, and the atmosphere felt really relaxing. We had an amazing time here and would definitely recommend it.

The remote setting is part of the fun, since you reach the place in an off-road car. Once there, the views from the rooms and the morning scenery were fantastic. A lovely spot to stay a while and enjoy some peace. The location, hospitality, rooms and views were all great. I’d recommend it if you’re near Kanatal.
