La Riqueza Kanatal

The food was the strongest part of our stay at La Riqueza Hotel. Every dish we ordered was delicious, well made, and satisfying. The location is also lovely: Kanatal is peaceful and scenic, and the front rooms have balconies facing the mountains. Rooms at the back look toward the forest and rear property instead, so the view is less impressive. In winter, though, those rooms can keep patches of snow longer because they get less direct sunlight, which can be charming. The staff were polite and made a genuine effort to respond to our concerns. They were also accommodating when we asked for food for our toddler. Comfort was another matter. Evenings get very cold in Kanatal, but our roughly 250-300 sq. ft. room had just one small two-coil heater. When we asked for another, staff said only one power point could be used for a heater. The extra heater we received was even smaller and ineffective. Gaps around the doors and windows let cold air in, making the nights uncomfortable. Electric blankets helped somewhat, although using them as bedding was a minor inconvenience. It was a mixed experience: excellent food, a good location, and courteous staff, but the heating and insulation problems made the room uncomfortable. Improving those would make a big difference.

Honey and Devender made me feel right at home, and the room had a stunning view. It’s a beautiful, cozy hotel, and the food is cooked fresh with care. They serve both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Thanks, I’ll come back someday!

I’m from Amritsar and had a wonderful stay, with service that was absolutely top-class. Mr. Sahil and Mr. Gaurav were polite, professional, and helpful the whole time. They took great care of our needs and made sure everything was just right. Their communication, attitude, and dedication reflect well on the hotel. We were greeted with warm smiles by the whole team. Devendra Rana, Hanny, Tajveer, Vijendra, and the cook were all there for us. The front desk was receptive and helpful, and the hotel staff were friendly and efficient. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time.
