Taragarh Palace Hotel

The birds outside in the morning, instead of traffic, were a highlight, and the views are spectacular. This heritage hotel covers a huge area, with broad lawns and mature trees that make it feel like a private forest. Its spacious rooms combine old-fashioned charm with modern comfort. The attentive, cooperative staff made sure our needs were met with a smile, and the food was fresh and delicious. A peaceful escape from city noise and congestion, with space that could also work for a grand event. A serene heritage retreat where nature and comfort come together.

The Manager was so helpful that he even came with us to the nearby station to help buy tickets for the scenic Kangra Valley Railway. The hotel is well placed for visiting Baijnath Temple, Andretta Pottery, Wah Tea Estate, and Tashijong Buddhist Monastery. We enjoyed the great food, especially breakfast, and our large, airy room. The pretty gardens looked lovely with their fairy lights. Thank you.

Mr. Madan, the GM, personally looked after us and gave us a heritage tour of the property, which added something special to our visit. We stayed in the beautifully maintained Maharani Suite, with its lovely royal charm, and the service was impeccable and warm throughout. Hotel Taragarh made for a memorable stay. Highly recommended for anyone wanting comfort along with a sense of heritage.

The hotel has a calm, distinctive vibe, so when I’m nearby, I choose it over places in palampur or bir. Mr Sangeet at reception was especially humble and attentive, taking care of all our needs and making the stay feel five-star. The rest of the staff were cooperative and the food was good. I’d definitely recommend it for a peaceful, quiet stay.
