Brigade Royale

I left my AirPod in the room, but an employee said it wasn’t there. I used Find My Device on my iPhone to track it, and the location showed it was still at their hotel.

There’s a restaurant on the ground floor with good food, and a small pub or drinks area upstairs. The staff were polite, and the rooms were clean and well kept. Being right in the heart of Brigade Road made it easy to get around nearby. We had a great stay.

The manager spoke to us as if he were warning us, and didn’t seem to know how to deal with guests. We asked at reception to have the room cleaned, but nothing happened, and later we couldn’t get a response when we asked for the manager. They were asking for extra money, too. The room was very dirty, had no window, and the service was zero.

I checked out angry and moved to another hotel across the road. I won’t return to OYO 316 HOTEL BRIGADE ROYALE. After dinner I wanted to watch TV, but it wouldn’t work. Someone from reception came to fiddle with it, then said nothing could be done, so I demanded a room change. That finally happened at 2 a.m., but I couldn’t sleep there either. I kept scratching myself, and the brownish bed linen looked like it hadn’t been changed. The room was already a letdown compared with the pictures online, though at first I didn’t make a fuss. Then I found there was no hot water, so I had to take a cold shower before going out for a late dinner. I told the front desk, and the guy kindly offered to move me, but it was already late and I was still in a good mood, so I said it was fine. There was plenty else wrong: noisy AC, half the lights out, and sheets that looked used. Never, never again.
