Elite Stays at DLF Newtown

We booked because the hotel was near the function we needed to attend, and the quick check-in and checkout were convenient. The strongest point is the location on a busy main road. Still, finding the property is tricky: it's on the fourth floor of a building, and the hotel name isn't easy to see. KLN Fresh is on the ground floor, with a gym above it and a restaurant on the next floor. There are decent vegetarian and non-vegetarian restaurants close by, but the hotel has no restaurant or room service. It also has no car parking, and staff didn't help us find a spot in the nearby lanes. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, but they need better cleaning or a makeover. Sheets, pillowcases, and towels were stained and discolored, and we had to ask for towels and soap. Bathroom privacy is limited: the ventilation window opens onto the shared walkway, where sounds can be heard, and noise from other bathrooms carries into the room and toilet. Staff were polite. Be careful if you book through an app with payment due at the hotel. The property doesn't take responsibility for assigning rooms even with a confirmed booking, and tells guests to contact customer care. One of the rooms we booked wasn't available. Oyo offered to place that guest elsewhere, but it was already too late at night. Call ahead if you'll arrive late, especially for an app booking rather than a direct one. Based on my stay, I'd rate it 3, setting aside the room allocation problem. It looks good from outside, but the details let it down. It certainly doesn't deserve the 4.5 rating shown here.

Booking.com was no help either. There was no live agent, and when we contacted support, they told us to book somewhere else instead of sorting out the confirmed reservation or holding the hotel accountable. The room we eventually got also had no extra bed, despite our having paid extra for another person. We had a confirmed booking email for three rooms, but when my brother and two elderly relatives arrived late at night, the hotel refused to give them a room. The other two rooms were available. The booking said payment at the property, and there was no option to pay online, yet staff bluntly said, “No payment, no room,” and blamed Booking.com. Nobody had told us in advance that a room wasn't available. At 10 PM, they were rude and dismissive to our senior relatives at reception, with no empathy. Offering them a room at another location at that hour wasn't helpful. This was a miserable experience for our family, especially the older relatives. I wouldn't call this place a hotel, and Booking.com's lack of real-time support made matters worse. Avoid it, particularly if travelling with family or senior citizens. One of our worst experiences.

For what we paid, this place wasn't worth it. There were lots of cockroaches, the bed sloped inward when I lay on it, and the taps came off in my hand. The locality is congested, though parking was okay. Don't expect comfort or hygiene.

The rooms were infested with bed bugs, which made the stay uncomfortable and unhygienic. A very bad experience, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
