Fairfield by Marriott Bengaluru Whitefield

Whitefield is a great place to stay. The hotel-to-office cab ran smoothly, thanks to Bikas, and Rakibul made the room service excellent. I wish him success in the coming years. Breakfast was extra special too, especially thanks to Ching and the rest of the staff. There were a couple of things that felt off: a false fire alarm woke us in the middle of the night, though the staff were courteous and helped calm everyone. I also noticed a fumigation smell on day one, but it was fine on the other days.

The team went out of their way when I accidentally left my track pants and T-shirt behind. They arranged to send them back, washed and ironed, and neatly packed. That thoughtful care says a lot about their service. I spent a week at Fairfield by Marriott Bengaluru Whitefield on an office trip. The room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and the food was fresh and delicious with a good range. Staff were polite, helpful, and professional, making everything smooth and pleasant. It was a comfortable, memorable stay, and I’d recommend it for work or leisure.

At around 2 AM on my third night, a man who seemed heavily intoxicated repeatedly rang my doorbell, banged on the door, and screamed outside my room. As a woman staying alone, I was terrified. I saw no security response during the incident, and afterward I couldn’t sleep because I didn’t feel safe. I chose Fairfield by Marriott Whitefield because it was close to my office in Bagmane. The property felt poorly maintained for a hotel presented as 4-star: stale-smelling rooms, worn bathrooms, old carpets, and common areas that smelled strongly of alcohol and sweat. I had overlooked that because I spent little time there and only needed somewhere to sleep after work. I raised the incident with the hotel the next morning. Gautam at reception responded and later confirmed the guest involved was heavily intoxicated. The hotel apologized, but didn’t tell me about any meaningful action or accountability despite how serious it was. An apology doesn’t undo the fear of being alone in a hotel room at 2 AM. I cancelled the rest of my stay and checked out early. I rarely post public negative reviews, but this left me shaken. Safety is the bare minimum, especially for women traveling alone, and this hotel failed badly on that front. I’d strongly urge solo women travelers to be cautious when booking here.
