There’s lots of greenery and plenty to do for children and adults. I wasn’t happy with my first room because of a few issues, but the team patiently showed me several other options until I found one that suited me. Mr. Matthew and all the staff were especially helpful and cooperative throughout our stay. A beautiful place, highly recommended.

The food quality was good, and the gazebo area was spacious. Beyond that, our get-together on 2.5.26 was very poor. The price didn’t match the service, and professionalism and ownership were missing. I don’t recommend the resort unless they improve. Lunch from the buffet was mixed with the general lunch crowd, against our agreement. Coordination between the front-end and restaurant teams was absent, leaving confusion and no one to help. The conference hall AC was poor, and the microphone stopped working halfway through. There weren’t enough servers. A woman who was meant to bring the welcome drink never showed up. The team seemed out of step, and we didn’t see a senior person or manager coordinating. I sent these comments to the coordinator, Ajay, thanking him for helping with the get-together yesterday (2.5.26) and asking him to share the observations with the MD and senior management for long-term improvement. I offered to explain them to the senior team if needed. My rating is 3.

The room service setup was frustrating. There was no separate number for services, so everything had to go through reception. Even then, requests arrived 30 to 40 minutes later, if they came at all. I asked four or five times for a laundry bag and never got one, from check-in until checkout. We also left used dishes in the room overnight; room service never collected them before we checked out. The room didn’t match the amenities listed on Agoda. The kettle was broken and had to be replaced. Hot water only dripped out, the AC remote didn’t work because it had no batteries, and the room wasn’t soundproof, so I could hear the TV next door. The cupboards were in bad shape, the fridge was broken, and the beds gave us rashes. Door mats and bathroom mats weren’t properly clean, and we had to ask twice for lotion and shampoo. The taps were rusty and still had visible dirty spots, and even the simple bottle cap wasn’t sealed. Cleaning was another problem, especially for a family with a baby. A few hours after check-in, I asked for the room to be cleaned because I’d found a cockroach on the floor. It still didn’t seem properly cleaned: there were chips under the tables, and the couches had dirt particles on them. When we raised it, the cleaner ASHOK said, rudely, that this was how it would be. He then asked where the dirt was and went into the restroom to look. With my baby asleep on the bed, he pulled off the blanket and asked me to show him sand. You don’t barge into someone’s room and check their bed like that. The chef needs to improve the food quality and buffet variety. Across all five buffets there was very little choice and no live counters. They couldn’t make a simple dosa or omelette, and the chef didn’t know what apple puree was, which I consider basic. Outside food wasn’t allowed, yet when we asked for something from the restaurant, we were told the kitchen was busy and asked to choose from the buffet menu. Why have a restaurant menu then? I go out with my family every quarter, and this was by far my worst three-star hotel experience. I wouldn’t recommend staying here to anyone, especially families with babies. I don’t understand how it holds a three-star rating. Agoda should check and update its amenities listing. The stay was frustrating, unpleasant, and a waste of my money.

The pool and greenery make Gold Coins Club & Resort a nice spot for a short break or team outing. Its Electronic City location is handy if you work nearby, and it feels peaceful while still being easy to reach. Staff were polite and helpful when I asked, though service sometimes moved slowly, especially when it was busy. Faster responses and a bit more attention to upkeep would make the stay smoother.
