Inn@Silicon Valley

My friend suggested this hotel, but the stay was horrible. Even with a confirmed booking, they may refuse your check-in and tell you to contact the customer care team for whichever app you booked through so they can move you elsewhere. They wouldn’t answer further questions about why they were refusing the confirmed reservation. My impression is that they make more money renting rooms by the hour because of the location. This is a disgrace to the travel and lodging industry. I strongly advise business travelers and families to avoid it at any cost.

The building has good design and basic infrastructure, and it could have been one of the city’s best hotels with proper management. Instead, the reception was often empty, with nobody responsible answering calls or handling complaints, and management ignored even genuine concerns. Hygiene was awful: worms were found in the kettle, and the floor felt sticky, as if it hadn’t been mopped for days. There was no hot water, some taps had no water at all, the AC didn’t work, and the technician couldn’t fix it. The room lock was faulty too, and that never got repaired.

The bathroom hanger was already broken when we arrived, but they blamed us for it when we checked out. Maintenance was poor, and they also blamed us for their own upkeep problems. Even basic utensils weren’t provided like they are at other hotels. Didn’t expect this kind of quality in Bangalore. Don’t come to this inn, hotel, or whatever this mess is. Pretty much f***ed up.

The rooms were good, but the service needs a lot of improvement. I had to call the front desk over and over. The towels they brought were dirty, and getting clean ones took an hour. I asked for plain water, but it didn’t arrive until morning, so I had none all night. The sheets were dirty and there was no toilet paper. The coffee from the restaurant in the morning tasted like a dessert. A horrible experience.
