Olive Hotel Hebbal by Embassy Group

The room’s hygiene was below standard, and the stay was overshadowed by a frightening incident. Around 1 AM, a heavy wall mirror suddenly broke and fell to the floor while we were asleep. Nobody was standing near it, thankfully, but it could have caused a serious injury. We were scared and didn’t know whether it was an accident or someone had entered the room. Room service staff were supportive, and the room was eventually cleaned, but the fear and stress stayed with us. Other Olive properties are generally good, but this experience was unacceptable. At reception, the night in-charge/security didn’t inspect the room and instead immediately asked us for money. The mirror appeared to have been glued on without screws or support underneath. We explained that, but nobody would listen or check the evidence. In the morning, reception initially spoke politely, then blamed us and demanded ₹7,500 again. We tried customer support and EaseMyTrip but got no help or response. Someone named Sohail, apparently not from the branch, was rude and kept demanding money in an inappropriate tone. We decided firmly not to pay for something that wasn’t our fault. After we waited patiently and stood our ground, reception finally admitted the mirror hadn’t been fixed properly and told us not to pay. The whole episode ruined our stay and peace of mind. There was no proper accountability or customer support, and staff behavior was extremely rude. It’s worrying to think how someone more vulnerable might cope. Management should take responsibility and improve safety and customer handling. No guest should have to go through this.

The staff were responsive and very helpful. I had a comfortable stay, and my room was clean and well maintained.

We’d happily stay again. The location is good, the rooms were neat and tidy, and the front office team were hospitable and polite. It’s an amazing hotel.

It’s simple rather than fancy, but it had what I needed for a good night’s sleep. The location was convenient, the Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and both the room and bed were comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly, too. Great value for the price, and I’d stay here again.
