The location was the only good part of this stay. Everything else was disappointing, and I’d urge people to be cautious about booking based on the online ratings or photos. I’d booked and paid in advance for a specific room, but when I arrived alone from Mumbai at about 11:45 PM, I was told it wasn’t available. I had little choice but to take a tiny, box-like room for the night. I agreed to make do for 24 hours, but found bed bugs during the night and had to run to reception around 2 AM to ask for another room. The next room was the one I’d booked in the first place, so I don’t understand why it wasn’t given to me on arrival. That room had another horrible surprise: 30-50 dead honeybees stuffed behind a cupboard, which looked like a serious cleaning and hygiene failure. I asked for a refund and wanted to leave, but the hotel refused and moved me to yet another room. Even after I finally got a decent room, basic things like water and a bucket didn’t arrive unless I called more than ten times. The WiFi was unstable, the AC kept disconnecting, and the staff seemed untrained and unhelpful. It was a very bad experience, and the property didn’t match its photos or ratings.
