Om Sai Suites by OYO Rooms

I came to Bangalore for a trade show and booked this place three or four days ahead. On the day I was due to arrive, I finally got through to the OYO Om Sai Suits manager after calling a few times. He said some rooms were being renovated and mine wouldn’t be available, then told me to cancel as if it were my fault. OYO had taken Rs.774 upfront, charged Rs.662 for cancellation, and refunded only Rs.112. How is that fair? The renovation wasn’t my problem, and they showed little concern for the trouble this caused. I had to find somewhere else to stay, and I’m very unhappy with how it was handled.

The room and amenities are decent for the price, and there’s a gym in the building, though it might cost extra. Staff seem pretty uninterested, so don’t expect much service. I wouldn’t suggest it for couples, but it could work for a group of men needing a night’s stopover. The restaurant downstairs serves some amazing South Indian breakfast.

We were six people and had booked three rooms, but the hotel offered us only one and a half rooms and expected us to share the rooms and washroom with strangers. They wouldn’t refund us either. The main owner, Shiva, knew what was happening but didn’t respond to our calls to settle it. We were a group of girls, and asking us to share with strangers was awful. I’d like to file a case over the difference between what the booking app promises and what the hotel provides. Not recommended at all. Agoda’s service was terrible too.

Please don’t stay at this OYO. My girlfriend suffered badly here, and we went through a lot. She was in a life-threatening state. These people only care about money and won’t agree if payment is even a little late. They even told us to clean the bathroom. Avoid this place.
