Open Hotel by Olive - A1 Suites

I expected basic hospitality from an Olive A1 Suites property carrying the Olive name, but the stay was uncomfortable and disappointing from beginning to end. The room was bare bones: no towels, kettle, or cutlery, and there wasn’t even a basic first-aid kit. My friend was hurt by broken wood or furniture in the room and suffered a fracture-related injury. Staff said plainly they had no first aid or even a band-aid, so I had to walk through the streets to find a medical store and buy basic bandages. That level of negligence is unacceptable. Check-in also felt suspicious and unprofessional. Reception quoted ₹1600, while the online price was around ₹800-₹1000. When I said I’d book online, the staff member claimed no rooms were available online and all were blocked. I could see him manipulating or blocking the inventory in front of me, and then the online price suddenly rose to his quoted amount. I waited instead of paying double at the counter. About an hour later, the online price returned to the usual ₹800-₹1000 range, and I booked immediately. It felt like a deliberate way to push customers into inflated walk-in prices. Poor maintenance, missing basics, safety concerns, and highly questionable pricing. This wasn’t the standard I expected from an Olive-branded property.

My partner and I stayed at Open Hotel. We normally don’t review hotels, but the manager’s behavior was really upsetting. When it was time to check out, our payment was delayed, and they demanded money and said they’d call the cops. We paid for the stay, but they still expected us to pay more. Manager Ajay said they would call the cops if we didn’t pay, and kept demanding money even after we had paid. Please read the reviews before staying. Don’t waste your money here, they actually demand more money.

We booked through OYO for three friends, but didn’t stay because of the following issues. They wouldn’t allow single visitors and asked us to book another room, even though we had booked for three guests. We’d paid half through OYO and the rest directly before check-in. The property manager had a bad attitude and spoke rudely. It smelled very bad and was poorly maintained. I can’t recommend this place; don’t waste your money, choose somewhere better.

Staff were rude and asked us to pay extra. The blanket, bedsheets, and walls were very dirty, with cockroaches on the walls. After checkout they inspected the room and told us to pay a fine.
