Open Hotel by Olive - the Infantry Hotel.

After a long trip from Mookambika, we arrived early and were told check-in was after 12, which was fine. They let us use a room for an hour to freshen up. We said we’d return later and asked for a good room, but after shopping and meetings we got back tired around 7 pm and were given a room that was tiny, poorly ventilated, with dirty toilets and terrible internet. When we asked to switch, they said there were no vacant rooms. We requested the room we had used that morning, but were told it wasn’t free, and they kept saying late checkouts might free up a room. We went out again and returned at 10 pm, only to be told there was still nothing available. After an argument, they finally handed over the key to the same room we’d asked for earlier. It had been vacant, yet they wouldn’t give it to us until we pushed. The internet was painfully slow, worse than dial-up from 20 years ago. A really pathetic hotel.

The one bright spot was a security guard who was helpful. The rest of the experience was very poor: service came only after long delays, repeated follow-ups, and escalations, and promised help often never arrived. Reception staff didn’t seem to know what services were available and couldn’t explain things clearly. Customer satisfaction feels very low, and this didn’t seem like a three-star hotel. I’d only book here if there were no other choices.

Shubham helped me during my stay, and I especially want to mention him. The staff were good to deal with, and the service and cleanliness were very good. I had an excellent stay and hope to come back in the near future.

I’ve been waiting two hours for someone to sort out the water, after already complaining. The receptionist doesn’t seem to have control over anything, and I wouldn’t rely on the staff here. They ruined my mood and trip. If you want peace of mind, please don’t stay here.
