There are very few affordable food options nearby, so you'll need to go a couple of kilometres for a meal. Otherwise, it's a good location for work trips: the hotel is on the main road at Mirava circle, easy to find, and you can get a bus, cab or auto. The rooms are huge, the largest I've stayed in during my travels around Bangalore, and very clean, with clean bathrooms and good lighting. There's a lift, room service is good, and the hotel also has a pub to relax in.

The room was filthy when I arrived, and the sheets and bed were dirty. There was mould even in the drawers, mould on the walls, and a leaking ceiling. Cockroaches were in the room, there was no hot water in the cold weather, and room service wasn't good. The location is poor too, with no good restaurants or other facilities nearby. Worst hotel I've been to, and I wouldn't recommend it. Auto drivers may take you there, but avoid it.

We spent one night at Sabharwal Viceroy and had a pleasant stay. The rooms were a decent size, and the bathrooms were large, clean and well kept. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner there, and all the food was delicious.

The rooftop restaurant, Dynasty, felt overrated and pricey, and the food was tasteless. I wasn't confident about the hygiene there either. The hotel itself was okay, but not worth what it costs. There was no housekeeping, and hot water was available only in the morning. The furniture was old, with old liquor bottles left in the cupboard. Bangalore needs to do a lot more to offer visitors decent places.
