The quiet neighborhood made it easy to walk around, and the location works well if you want to be near MG Road. After a couple of disappointing OYO stays, I’d lost confidence in them, but this place changed that. My room was spotless, the bathrooms felt comparable to a four-star hotel, and the service was superb.
The cupboards were dusty, and the overall cleanliness needs attention. We only got one towel for two guests; when we asked for another, the caretaker said there weren’t any and offered no help. I complained to Oyo Home, but the captain didn’t resolve it. The shared kitchen was also shared with the caretaker, who seemed to put his own needs first. We couldn’t even make tea until he’d finished his daily cooking, and he questioned why we hadn’t gotten up early to cook. I never felt at home there.
Water leaked throughout the room, and there was no running or hot water. The AC didn’t work at first, then made a noise like a table fan. Support was awful, the person didn’t know what to do and seemed unconcerned. I had to check out a day early because of these problems. Avoid this dirty room.
The AC was loud and barely effective, and the caretaker seemed untrained and clueless. There weren’t even glasses or tumblers to drink water. Customer support said they’d contacted the Oyo captain, who would bring some in five minutes, but nothing ever arrived. How were we supposed to drink water?
Clean and hygienic, and I had a pleasant stay. There were no toiletries or water bottle, though.
