Purple Cloud Urban

Breakfast was cold, limited, and tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. The staff seemed uninterested and unhelpful, as if having guests was a bother. My room didn't look anything like the online photos, the sheets were stained, the bathroom smelled terrible, and the AC barely worked. I had to call housekeeping twice for basic toiletries. For what they charge, it's nowhere near worth it. Poor service, poor maintenance, and no attention to detail. I wouldn't stay again or recommend it.

The bathroom had a strong stench that was hard to ignore, and the sheets and towels looked used and stained. Cockroaches were everywhere, including on the bed, in the bathroom, and in the play area. I told the receptionist, who said they might be coming in through the back door and that they'd look into it. This was my second stay at Purple Cloud Urban. I liked the location, so I came back, and my first visit had been okay, but this time was awful. They seriously need pest control.

It's been more than a month and I still haven't received the refund for the remaining amount. I cancelled within 20 minutes of paying, as the hotel advised, and their policy said only a 5% cancellation fee would apply. I've called and emailed several times without getting any response. After five weeks with no refund, this delay and lack of communication feels extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I'd advise others to be cautious.

Local lodges are better maintained than this place. I trusted the reviews and photos, but now it seems like they may all be fake. I still wonder how it's full all the time. Maybe the management is faking bookings, or maybe most rooms aren't fit to stay in. This is the most disgusting hotel I've ever visited. Be careful before booking.
