The food was below average in both taste and quality, and the prices didn't seem justified. They were comparable to what you'd expect at a 3-star hotel, but the dining experience fell well short. I also saw large rats near where grocery items were stored, which was concerning, and the hygiene seemed very poor. Management needs to improve cleanliness, hygiene, and food quality.
Alok Park is a straightforward South Indian spot in Whitefield, with fresh food served hot and prices that are very reasonable. The dosas are crisp, idlis soft, and the chutney and sambar are consistently good. It's clean, service is prompt, and the relaxed, familiar feel works for breakfast or an easy meal during a busy day. The menu sticks to South Indian classics, with nothing fancy or experimental, but they do those well. A solid choice when you're after tasty food without frills.
They charged Rs. 80 for my curd rice, even though the menu listed it at Rs. 65. Their explanation was "gas shortage." The portion was just a tiny bowl, and the taste wasn't good either. Worst experience.
I ordered idli vada and a juice. I finished lunch, but they still hadn't managed to make the juice. The staff kept passing it from one person to another, so I told them to enjoy it and left.
