The Oberoi, Bengaluru

The prices are on the high side, but Rim Naam's ambience is lovely. I visited with my family and thought the food tasted spectacular. Service was quick and courteous, and I'd call it one of Bangalore's best spots for Thai food, if not the best.

We eventually got a table for weekend breakfast at The Oberoi, Bangalore, but we had to ask to speak to a manager first. The front desk staff member said nobody in her two years there had ever asked to come for weekend breakfast without staying at the hotel. We found that a baffling response, since leading luxury hotels around the world often welcome diners who want to try their restaurants. At first, we were refused entry because we weren't hotel guests, even though we were ready to pay. That was a startling experience at a property known as one of Bangalore's premier luxury hotels. By the time a table was arranged, we already felt unwelcome. The problem wasn't whether we got to eat in the end, but how we were treated when we arrived. Luxury hospitality depends on how people are welcomed as much as on beautiful properties or good food. Our interaction fell short of the warmth and grace the brand is known for. I hope management reviews what happened so local patrons and hotel guests alike are treated with the courtesy and professionalism expected from a hotel of this calibre.

We only meant to have a relaxing day at The Oberoi Bengaluru, but ended up extending our stay. Honestly, we didn't want to leave. Thank you to Prateek Gulati, the Head of F&B, the GM, and everyone on the team for making it so memorable. Even though we live nearby and the hotel is right in the city centre, it felt like a real mental break from our hectic work schedules. As a busy husband-wife duo, we rarely find that kind of peace. I also got a little sick from the weather change, and the care from the team was touching. People in the kitchen and housekeeping checked on me, helped guide me toward suitable food, and made a comforting fresh kada with herbs and oranges. The warmth and attention to detail are what make Oberoi special. The property is impeccably maintained, the rooms are beautiful, and the food is excellent. Their piña coladas by the pool are among the best I've had, and I can't stop thinking about the coconut muesli chia seed pudding, one of the best healthy desserts I've tried. Whether you're travelling to Bengaluru or looking for a peaceful staycation in the city, this place gives you comfort and a sense of calm that stays with you. Thanks again to the whole team for a warm, unforgettable experience. The Oberoi remains our first choice when we want to slow down and relax. Looking forward to coming back very, very soon.

Clean, neat rooms and courteous, attentive staff made our stay comfortable. I particularly liked the hospitality and the quality of the food. The hotel's services were wonderful, and we enjoyed our time here. I'd definitely recommend it to others.
