Sri Vijaya Palace Lodging

It's cheap and simple, and not far from KSR railway and bus stations or the metro. The big road nearby makes it a bit noisy. Rooms have no windows for daylight or fresh air. They may say in-room dining is available when you book, but they don't actually provide it. They can send a boy to buy something outside, though that's not worth it.

It was a really great stay. The staff and service were very helpful.

This is a dirty place, and we felt cheated. After we arrived with a confirmed booking, they demanded more money than we had agreed to pay. The rude reception staff said they'd cancel the booking if we didn't pay extra, even though we'd already paid in advance and wouldn't get that payment back. They seemed to think we'd give in because we were checking in with infants. The property wasn't as clean as it looked in the pictures and isn't suitable for families. There are other nearby hotels with good rates, better properties, and good staff.

It works well for one person staying a single night, though the location is a bit tucked away. For 580 rupees, the non-AC room has a double bed, attached bath, TV with regular cable channels, full-length mirror, and fan. They could have provided regular drinking water.
