SS Lumina Hotel - Koramangala, Bangalore

The Rajasthani restaurant staff were good, and the rooms are an okay size. But the washrooms have no ventilation and the fans don’t work. There isn’t really anything in the way of amenities, so it feels like a place to come back to just to sleep. Also, if you take two water bottles, don’t ask for a third unless you’re ready to pay more than MRP.

I left without booking the hall because the way we were treated was so inattentive. I still don’t understand where the receptionist thought I had lost my patience. The reception area hardly had any guests, but he was on a call and seemed unbothered even after I repeatedly asked whether someone was coming to show us the hall. I understand there was another customer, but we were also there ready to pay a large amount for the service and deserved to be received with some attention. We had called ahead to arrange a viewing. He could have checked who had spoken with us, contacted that person, and brought them to the venue, or shown us himself if that wasn’t possible. Instead, he stayed at his desk and sent a helper boy, who was completely clueless about our questions. All he said was that they would show us photos so we could decide later. I believe someone in charge of the hall could have addressed our concerns and helped us feel confident, but that didn’t happen. When we left, the receptionist didn’t even ask why we were going without speaking with him. That attitude wasn’t what I expected from a prestigious 3 star hotel, especially given its online reviews. We had to leave and choose somewhere else. Anyway, thank you.

I always enjoy staying at SS Lumina. Biplab, the chef, is attentive and careful with the food, and everything he cooks is delicious. At buffet breakfast, Pramila and Shimre are so pleasant and cheerful, and they handle every request with a smile. The staff are wonderful and very friendly.

The staff made the stay feel special with how welcoming and attentive they were. I also really enjoyed how comfortable and clean the rooms were.
