The Park Slope Hotel

The place looks stylish, and the rooms were clean, but that didn’t make them comfortable. There were ten lights in my room and only two worked. The fridge barely cooled and had just one bottle of water. The room phone was out of order, so room service had to be called on their mobile number, which sometimes went unanswered. Ordering food took patience, then the wait felt endless. They also didn’t give me a bill for the orders, including when I settled everything at checkout.

I was happy with my stay, even with the limitations during COVID. The room was good, the washroom was cleaner still, and the bed and pillows were excellent. There was hot water, a working phone with operator number 9, AC, and a TV with an Amazon Fire Stick and streaming services. Wi-Fi was good and parking was available. The restaurant and bar were closed because of COVID, and there was no view from my room. They were only operating a limited number of rooms at the time. The hotel is just opposite the botanical garden.

Karthik at reception was very helpful and made the stay pleasant. I was passing through Bangalore and needed a night somewhere along my planned route. After checking many options, I found Park Slope on Trivago at a price that worked, in the city but in a quieter neighborhood. Our room had plenty of space for two, with a queen bed, two couches, a center table, a study, toiletries in the spacious bathroom, and two balconies. One faced the nearby children's park and the other Lal Bagh. Parking was in front of the hotel. We took an evening stroll through Lal Bagh, and there were fuel stations, tea shops, small provision stores, and a metro station nearby.

The staff were arrogant and unhelpful. Room doors and the rooms themselves weren’t great, and the bathroom facilities were poor.
