We never felt welcome or respected during our two-night family stay at Super Townhouse MG Road Near Commercial Street, Bengaluru. The property didn't meet basic hospitality standards for the price, and I'd urge booking platforms to check places like this properly before listing them. Families should think carefully before booking. The room was poorly maintained and didn't feel hygienic. There was a strong smoking smell despite our expectation of a non-smoking room, the bedspreads and room didn't look clean, and the bathroom fell below acceptable standards. The photos online were misleading and looked as if they might have been taken years ago when the hotel first opened. The actual condition was much worse. The front desk staff were rude and unhelpful, with no real interest in resolving concerns. They made comments in Hindi about my family, which made us uncomfortable and disrespected. Since I was with my family, I chose not to argue. We complained through ixigo. The receptionist later claimed he came to fix things, but he knocked while we were out, recorded a video, and then used that as an excuse not to help. We were asked to provide “proof” of the smell and poor cleanliness, which felt frustrating and unprofessional. In Room 206, the fan and TV didn't work properly. By then we'd complained repeatedly and were exhausted, so we didn't want to deal with the staff further. Their behavior and the atmosphere left us, especially the women traveling with me, feeling unsafe and uncomfortable. Guests trust a hotel and booking platform to provide a peaceful stay, so this was especially stressful for our family. Management should make sure staff get proper training and behave professionally. Ignoring customer safety, respect, and hospitality could lead to serious complaints, even legal or police-related issues.

We left just 2-3 hours after checking in, and when we returned the key, nobody asked what had gone wrong. There was no concern, apology, refund, or resolution. It wasn't worth the money or hassle, and I wouldn't recommend it to families or anyone wanting a clean, comfortable basic stay. The room wasn't ready when we arrived around 3 PM, so we waited another 30 minutes. The receptionist said the room being prepared was “bigger and better,” while an immediate room would be smaller and worse. If that was the better one, I can't imagine the other. The photos and online reviews were completely at odds with what we found. Getting there was inconvenient: we had to pass through several shops, and the lift only began on the first floor. There was no luggage help. When we asked, staff said they had nobody and that carrying bags was just “courtesy,” not their responsibility. The reception was dirty and neglected, as was the path to the rooms. Our room smelled bad, the walls were stained and splashed, the sofa had almost no cushioning, and the bathroom walls were dirty. The TV and WiFi didn't work, and staff didn't fix them after we reported it. At ₹2200-₹2500 per night, those are basic expectations.

I booked through Agoda for an interview because the hotel was near my office. Before booking, I called the OYO number and was told politely that an 8-8:30 early check-in would be allowed. Agoda's invoice gave me the same contact number for problems. But when I arrived at 8 AM, the manager was asleep in a room. Cleaning staff woke him, and he got irritated and said check-in wasn't possible until 10. I waited in the lobby on dusty sofas. At 10:30 they gave me a terrible room. The bathroom door wouldn't close from outside, it was full of mosquitoes, and when we complained they handed us two incense sticks. On my interview day, they said that if I came back after 11, I would have to leave my luggage outside or vacate the hotel. The staff were arrogant and rude, and the place wasn't hygienic at all. It looked good in the pictures, and I booked because it was close to my office, but it felt like a bus-stand lodge rather than a hotel. Even though rooms were available and I saw people check out, they wouldn't let me check in early, despite my offer to pay extra for the hours. This is the most pathetic hotel I've ever stayed in.

The location was great, just a jog from Commercial Street. The hotel itself was absolutely the worst: extremely dirty, no supplies, no view like the listing said, and the TV didn't work.
