Zip by Spree Hotels at the Woodrose

We recently celebrated our little one’s party here, and everyone had a great time. The food was delicious and got plenty of appreciation from the guests. The staff were attentive, supportive, and well-behaved throughout, and the way everything was managed made the occasion memorable. The place itself is beautiful and well maintained, with just the right feel for a celebration. We were very happy with the experience and recommend it.

We booked the lawn for our function, but Manager Nagesh Poorvik didn’t tell us during booking that sound had to stay very low. He took our advance without that disclaimer. When we asked about it, he said not to worry and that they’d allow 60% volume on the two speakers. During the function it was so quiet we couldn’t hear our dance music, and he kept coming over to turn it down. They charge Rs1600 per plate, but although 95 people came from our side, the venue counted 170 and charged us for that. Staff also didn’t help get chairs ready, so I had to carry and arrange them for the guests. They provide only three fans, charge extra for more, and rent one cooler for Rs 4500. Decoration costs are exorbitant too. Hotel rooms cost extra to book and were awful for Rs 7000: small, dimly lit, and the telephone didn’t work. Nobody even showed us to the rooms. This was a terrible venue with a terrible manager and staff. Save your money and don’t book here.

The event ran to plan, and the whole team, led by nagesh, executed it well. Mr.Nagesh was assigned to our amphitheater booking, and he was very professional, happily accommodated our requests, and made us feel comfortable about hosting a large gathering. We’d been to an event at the woodrose club before, so we chose it for our son’s first birthday party. We also stayed in an upstairs room. It was decent and had everything we needed. We were very happy with the space and service, and will come back.

The staff and attendants were always helpful and had a wonderful attitude during our family wedding. Mr Shivanathan at the front office was especially helpful. A lovely place to stay in Bangalore, with a good ambience.
