Sukhmantra Resort and Spa

I’ve been to Goa many times, but only found this lovely property on this trip. The rooms are fine, and the staff are the real standout, among the most helpful, courteous, and professional I’ve come across in North Goa. If you want a peaceful, hassle-free stay at an affordable price with a good experience, this is the place. Cheers, and thank you.

This was easily the worst hotel stay I’ve had in Goa. The rooms were in unacceptable condition, with poor cleaning and maintenance, and a strong unpleasant smell made it uncomfortable. The pictures online are clearly outdated and don’t show the hotel as it is now. I was very disappointed. If a rating below one star were possible, I’d have given it. I hope the hotel takes this seriously and makes improvements for future guests.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. The staff have an attitude and misbehave, the food quality is poor, and service is limited. There were power outages too. The pool was only 2 to 2.5 ft deep, and when we asked them to raise the water level, they said they wouldn’t do it for 4 to 5 guests. They said they’d increase it only if there were more than 15 guests. Try somewhere else if you have the option.

The catering service and food were excellent. For the room, though, I’d stick to a Luxury Room or VIP Room on the top floor, from 401 onwards. I wouldn’t recommend the Deluxe room if you want somewhere neat and spacious.
