Bassi Fort Palace

The room was a real letdown: a stale smell, dirty carpet, and a bathroom that didn't seem properly cleaned, with hair in the sink and mold in the shower. The air conditioning barely worked, so sleeping comfortably was impossible, and the thin walls let through everything from the hallway and adjacent rooms. Breakfast was called a buffet, but it was very limited and cold, and empty items weren't replenished. Check-in was slow and disorganized from the start, and staff didn't seem interested in helping. When I brought up these problems at the front desk, they were dismissive instead of trying to fix anything. I rarely write reviews, but this stay was frustrating enough that I feel others should know. For the price, I expected basic cleanliness and decent service, and got neither.

The ground-floor rooms feel properly royal and are great. Upstairs, the first-floor rooms are just ordinary. Service was very poor: there was no hot water in the rooms, no room service, and no power backup.

The staff and food were good, but the price is too high. There aren't any activities for children, so it didn't feel worth the money.

They took special care of our senior member, and we're grateful for that. The owners, Mr and Mrs Singh, and their son were warm and welcoming, treating us like personal guests in their home. We were the only guests that night, and they made special arrangements for crackers and diyas so we could celebrate Diwali with them. It was a unique privilege and made us feel very special. The palace is beautiful, and the service was so good I'd give it 10/5. They made an effort to fulfill every request we made.
