OYO 2152 Hotel Bahia Fort

The bathroom was broken and leaking, the linen was dirty and torn, there was no water bottle, and the room smelled. I expected a decent, comfortable stay at Hotel Bahia Fort in Bathinda, but the room didn't match what they advertise. The furnishings looked old and poorly kept, cleanliness seemed to be an afterthought, and essential amenities were missing or barely worked. It looked like upkeep had been neglected for a long time. Staff were disengaged and slow to respond, so even a simple request felt like a burden. For the price, this level of hospitality makes no sense. Bathinda has better choices, and I'd advise travelers to look elsewhere. Hotel Bahia Fort needs to improve across the board before calling itself a “premium” property.

Baljinder, who says he manages the guest house, didn't seem to care about the place or its visitors. When I asked about the hot water, he said the owner had no money for basic facilities and that he couldn't resolve any of the issues. Funny! This isn't a Heritage Property or even a hotel, just an outdated guest house in very poor condition. Plaster is falling off the walls, light fittings are loose, and there's no responsible person overseeing management. There's no room service or staff for basic housekeeping. The food was tasteless junk.

I booked two rooms on Nov 22nd 2024, and my guests found bad bedding and no fresh water from the taps or in the lavatory. We paid extra for breakfast, but the proper breakfast that was promised wasn't available. This place used to have a legacy as a Vintage place, but poor service has taken that away. I've heard the Hotel has been sublet to some Contractor. Very bad service.

The art and facilities are so shiny and expensive, and the place feels too luxurious and fabulous. I'll come back here in a few weeks.
