The Orchid Passaros Goa - Couples Only Resort

I left feeling refreshed and already looking forward to another stay. The in-house restaurant was a highlight: every meal was a delight, with local and international dishes made from fresh ingredients and lovely flavours. The chocolate brownie was superb. My room was spacious and tastefully decorated, and the private in-room jacuzzi added a luxurious touch. The resort ambience is beautifully designed. From the moment I arrived, the staff's warm hospitality set high expectations, and they stayed attentive and ready to help throughout. It was one of my most memorable holidays in a long time.

We went to Orchid Passaros in Benaulim for my fiancée's birthday. The location is a big plus, essentially right by Benaulim beach, so morning or sunset walks are easy, and there are plenty of good restaurants nearby. Our room was modern, stylish, spacious and extremely comfortable, with lots of thoughtful details. The beautiful property felt peaceful and intimate, just right for a special occasion. The staff were kind and attentive, and went out of their way to decorate the room as a birthday surprise. Everything was arranged perfectly, and their personal, genuine effort made the celebration even more special. We got a lovely mix of comfort, location and warm hospitality. We'd definitely come back, and especially recommend it for couples marking a special occasion.

The breakfast buffet was great, and my Treepie room with Balcony was clean, quiet and peaceful. Good value too. A few things could be improved: the restroom lights are so sensitive they can switch on if you just get out of bed, the rooms need chairs, and the pool is quite small and shallow.

The pool area didn't match what was advertised, with only two sunbeds available. Once, a guest left their belongings on one and reserved it all day, even while they weren't there. The facilities and restaurant overall didn't meet the standards described on the website, and we were very disappointed that the actual experience fell short of the online description. We arrived at about 12:30 and were told our booking couldn't be found. It took around 20 minutes for them to locate it. The man at reception was unfriendly and seemed miserable, which made for a poor welcome. We appreciated the complimentary drink while they sorted things out, and the server who brought it was polite, professional and pleasant. We were then shown to a room that initially looked very nice. That evening, though, the room was unbearably hot because the air conditioning didn't seem to cool it properly. Movement in the bed also triggered a sensor that switched on the bathroom light and extractor fan, repeatedly waking us. We reported both problems. Maintenance fixed the sensor, and the staff member said he'd lowered the room temperature, but it stayed extremely hot and uncomfortable despite further attempts to fix it. After about an hour of disruption, we felt we had no choice but to leave at 2:00 a.m. The manager's response was extremely disappointing. He was rude and dismissive, and kept laughing during the conversation, which felt highly unprofessional. I'm writing to express our disappointment with our stay at Orchard Passaros and would appreciate a response to these concerns.
