Amritara Chandra Mahal Haveli

We were very well looked after, and the staff were attentive throughout. Special thanks to kitchen staff Push Pendra, Hameed Khan, Neeraj ( chef) and Sagan. The food was freshly prepared and very tasty. The restored heritage building has a lovely pool. A taxi ride takes you to Keoladeo bird reserve, a RAMSAR and World Heritage Site, and one of the best in the world. We visited in February.

The village setting is a big part of the appeal. It’s quiet, with no city noise, and the simple rural surroundings make it easy to slow down. Mornings and evenings were especially peaceful, with a chance for quiet walks, local interactions, and a proper break from modern-day chaos. The meals were authentic and well prepared, and the staff were warm, attentive, and graceful in the way they looked after us. Service felt personal and unhurried. Inside, Amritara Chandra Mahal Haveli is full of history. Its carved arches, antique furnishings, heritage décor, and open courtyards all reflect the place’s royal past. Staying there felt like stepping into another era, rather than just checking into a hotel. For anyone looking for a serene stay with history and a sense of Rajasthan, this is a lovely destination in itself. It’s especially suited to heritage lovers and slow travelers who want to get beyond the tourist hotspots.

A peaceful break from the busy cities we’ve been exploring. Our family loved the beautiful Haveli, with its striking architecture and history throughout. The rooms were clean and well kept, and there was plenty of food variety for everyone. Warm hospitality and thoughtful service made the stay a highlight of our trip so far. It’s tucked away from the city noise, a little bit of calm in Rajasthan.

The pool area was nice, and the location is a little remote. Service was excellent, especially from Mr. Hameed and Mr. Pushpendra, but the rest felt quite average. A loud squeak from the bed kept disturbing everyone's sleep. Food was bland apart from the starters, and the chicken tasted stale. The property has potential, though it needs better maintenance and management. A new chef would make a big difference, apologies, Mr. Govind. Rajasthani cuisine is much richer than what's being served here, so don't judge it from this experience.
