Hotel Raya's Annexe 1

The location is handy, and the rooms and property are nice. The service, though, was the main problem. When we arrived to check in at 5 PM, they said the rooms weren’t ready and made us wait around 30-40 minutes. Then we learned they’d booked our rooms for someone else, even though check-in was at noon and they hadn’t called to confirm we were coming. The only rooms available were in their opposite building, and after we saw them, they seemed a significant downgrade from what we’d booked. Staff arrogantly asked why we’d arrived at 5 PM. We asked for either the booked room or a partial refund, but they were reluctant to offer any refund. We weren’t the only family dealing with overbooked rooms. After another three hours wasted, they agreed to a partial refund, and we took the alternate rooms.

The room was spacious, well maintained and hygienic, though the space felt compact. I was happy with the stay and thought it was worth the money. Go for it without doubts.

The reception staff were cooperative and accommodating, and I recommend booking by phone if you want a 24-hour check-in. The hotel is close to the railway station and shops, with restaurants and a medical store nearby. Our room was neat and clean, but the service could have been better. During our three-day stay, I expected the bins to be emptied and the sheets changed. That was my only dissatisfaction with the staff.
