Sri Ganesh Palace

The non AC room had only a stand fan, no ceiling fan, and they didn't provide towels. It was unclean, the taps leaked, and the faucet didn't work.

The vegetarian restaurant was the one good part. The food was tasty, neat, and clean, and I was happy with it. But I wouldn't recommend staying more than a day. For a single night, the facilities are just okay. The room wasn't worth what we paid. The key holder was broken, bathroom taps were partly broken, and the bathroom was dirty. They provided towels but no bathing kit or brush. The TV didn't work, the AC remote was missing, and there were no blankets in the room.

The restaurant on the ground floor served pretty good food at reasonable prices. Rooms were clean, and the staff were decent, responsive, and helpful. The AC worked well, as did the geyser and phone, which isn't always the case in other hotels. The hotel is opposite the District Police Office (DPO), where you can see police men/women doing parades and exercises in the mornings. Parking is listed as available, but the space only fits about two cars. It was full whenever I needed it, so I had to park elsewhere. Sri Ganesha Palace and Bhavan is a basic, functional hotel, not a posh one. The Google Maps photo makes it look like an expensive property with a large compound, which is TOTALLY misleading. Marketing staff overstate the facilities and appearance to attract people, and here it's extreme. Booking sites call it "low-risk" because there's zero down payment and zero cancellation charges, and date flexibility is offered. But after booking, I couldn't change the date through the app. At check-in, you have to pay the full room rent, and they don't accept cards, so bring cash. It's a fully vegetarian hotel, and the food quality is above average. Cooking cleanliness seems okay. Mostly, I notice trainee cops here, many of whom use the hotel instead of the mess in their quarters. It's opposite the Joint Commissioner office. I'd say it suits emergency or short stays.
