Hotel amar Palace

The food was decent, but the rooms were missing some basics: no chappals or handwash, and only one towel for two people. The TV was painfully slow, the lighting lacked dim options, and the rooms didn’t have much sense of aesthetics.

We came for a wedding. The hall was good, though its low ceiling meant smoke filled the room during the fireworks bridal entry, so I’d avoid that kind of entrance. The rooms were spacious and cleaned once a day, and room service was nice.

There’s a restaurant on the ground floor, so I could have dinner, lunch, and breakfast there or eat in my room. I stayed for three days and found the rooms fresh, large, and set up with what you need. Each has a balcony, and the room works best for two people. The hotel is by the main road and has enough parking, but it’s hard to find a rickshaw nearby. You need to pay a security charge before taking the room. It’s refundable when you leave, once they’ve checked that nothing is missing or damaged.

A nice hotel for the money.
