OYO 3635 The Mount Riviera

The pictures are misleading, the rooms don’t look like that at all. There were cockroaches in the cabinet and even on the bed. We complained and they moved us, but the new room also had cockroaches. Thank goodness we weren’t staying overnight. The bed wasn’t comfortable, and there was no complimentary breakfast or coffee. A really terrible experience.

The staff were awful and didn’t clean the rooms. There was a cockroach under the bed, and the bed was so uncomfortable that after one night I had body pain all day. The bathroom was dirty, with algae and fungus. The rooms were filthy and very, very bad.

The room was extremely dirty, and there was a cockroach in my breakfast. They served it without a spoon or fork. The service boy, though, was good and helpful. I don’t understand how Oyo rates such a bad place so highly, or why they do funny things with their ratings. Compare the reviews on Google with the ones on their app or site.

The rooms are so small they barely deserve to be called rooms. There wasn’t a restaurant or even tables in the room, and breakfast was just thrown at the guests. The staff and owners don’t understand hospitality at all and seem to make fun of guests. They only seem to be running because of tie-ups with a few websites. I’m sure they’d be out of business if those website arrangements ended. One of the worst experiences I’ve had.
