Udai Vilas Palace

The Bird Sanctuary is only about a three-minute drive away, which was handy. We stayed in the Suite with our toddlers, and there was enough room for them to play. I’d asked in advance to have the table lamps removed, and that had been taken care of before we arrived. The rooms were spacious and tidy, the food was excellent from both the buffet and the à la carte menu, and the staff were very kind and courteous. The price felt steep for a couple of nights, though it was New Year’s, so I can understand why they charged that much. We left with happy memories and would love to come back.

The Lal Maas was a real highlight, a rich, well-cooked Rajasthani mutton dish with an authentic taste. Hotel Uday Vilas is also very close to the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, so the location works well for anyone interested in nature or birds. The property was well cared for and had a comfortable feel with plenty of Rajasthani character. The AQI was 11 during my stay, and the air felt fresh and pleasant. It was a peaceful, memorable visit, and I’d recommend it.

The night puppet show and bonfire were a lovely part of our family stay, and gave it a traditional Rajasthani touch. Vikram ji welcomed us warmly and was helpful. The meals were fresh and delicious, and the staff were polite, courteous, and ready to help. The palace grounds are large and beautifully maintained, with a calm but lively atmosphere. Our room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable, and hygiene was well looked after throughout, which mattered to us traveling with family. Udai Vilas Palace feels grand and royal, and everything about our visit went really well. A luxurious, stress-free place to stay in Bharatpur with plenty for families to do.
