The receptionist spoke to me in a threatening, very rude voice. He said they had no washroom and wouldn't let the ladies use one, even in an emergency. He also told me to look around and do whatever I wanted. Please don't choose this hotel.

The hotel is near both the bus and railway stations, and it seems to count on that location to keep getting customers. When I extended my stay after visiting Tirumala, the lady receptionist quoted a higher daily rate than the one the previous receptionist had given me. I showed her my earlier receipt and asked about the difference, but she shouted over me and said she had no time because new customers were coming, even though there were barely two others besides me. She could have asked me to wait a few minutes, but instead she spoke to me informally while I continued addressing her formally. I also saw her arguing with two other guests during my stay. She was even ruder to them and told them to take a non-AC room despite their having paid for AC, which wasn't working. It felt like they cared about new guests who hadn't paid yet and ignored existing customers who had. I saw other reviews complaining about staff behavior too. The review summary by Gemini AI, as of today, says: “People say this hotel offers a convenient location near the bus stand and provides helpful travel advice. Other reviews mention the rooms can be outdated and the service can be impolite.” If the owner is paying attention, this complaint should be addressed, and the receptionist's attitude needs to change or she should be replaced. I don't think the owner would want staff like this to ruin pilgrims' visits. If things continue this way, they may eventually have no customers left, despite the location. Anyone unsure can check the other reviews or the Gemini AI summary. Avoid this place if you don't want your pilgrimage experience spoiled by an arrogant person.
I arrived from Chennai and checked into Room 309 around 7:00 PM on 04/11/25. The room was filthy and smelled awful as soon as I walked in. I asked the bell boy to clean the floor and washroom, but the smell was still unbearable, so I checked out within half an hour and moved to another hotel. I wouldn't recommend Vikram Hotel for a business trip or a family stay. It might even make you sick. Read more reviews online before booking.
We booked an AC room because of the location, but the AC didn't work. After I complained, they switched it on at 18 degrees, and the remote wasn't working, so there was no way to adjust it. How are you supposed to sleep at 18? The room wasn't clean either. One of the worst rooms in Tirupathi, and I'd give all the other options zero for service.
The inside and outside of the hotel weren't what I expected. The toilet was dirty, and the bedsheets and pillows were in bad shape. The room keeper kept asking for tips, and the doorbell rang early in the morning, disturbing us. I didn't find anything good about the hotel. If staff expect tips, what is the hotel paying them for?
