Hotel Sankalp

I stayed here yesterday, and early this morning the power went out. There was no generator, and the staff behaved very poorly. Breakfast had no good options, just poha and tea delivered to the room. When I asked for water, I was told to pay first. I complained to the receptionist, who said water isn’t provided at breakfast time. I asked for a regular bottle, but was told none was available because the water pump had only just been started, and that I could buy some outside.

The manager Rahul was friendly and helpful, including when we wanted to explore the local food and culture. We stopped here for one night while driving from Mumbai to Somnath. The hotel was clean and reasonably priced.

Thanks to Trupti ma’am ☺️. The staff really improved our stay by staying attentive and helping with every request. They were professional and clearly wanted the visit to go smoothly.

Receptionist Rahul was very nice, and that hospitality is the only reason I’m giving 2 extra stars. Otherwise it would be 1. The fan made noise all night and I couldn’t sleep. The shower didn’t work, and there was no hot water from the faucet. When I asked, they said the solar water was over and would take time, and offered a bucket of hot water instead. Breakfast was only 2 items delivered to the room, which they had told us beforehand, but that’s not acceptable in today’s world. The rooms have been renovated, but that doesn’t help when basic things like hot water and a quiet fan aren’t working.
