Hotel Jalaja

It’s easy to get to, and the affordable rooms were spotless and sanitized. The staff were friendly and professional, with efficient service that made my stay comfortable and pleasant. Hotel Aqua Jalaja was a great place to stay, and I’m looking forward to visiting again. Keep up the good work! 👍

I used to make AJ my first choice when visiting Mumbai, and had stayed there at least six or seven times. On my recent visit they said they had no rooms and refused me entry, but at the same time they gave a room to another couple who wanted it by the hour. The receptionist was rude and dismissive. I don’t know if the owners or management changed, but the new management is the worst. Staff like that damage the hotel’s image and should be removed.

I felt cheated. I’d booked by phone and was offered a suite, but after the front office staff murmured among themselves for a while, they gave us a small room for 4.5k that didn’t look like a suite. When I questioned it, they said they’d never promised one, yet charged the same price. The toilet seat was broken, the jet spray was awful, and I had to call several times for things. I asked for plates, but they never came. I could get much better service elsewhere for 4.5k.

I had to switch rooms three times in one day. The first had a broken lock, the second had no toilet seat, and the flush in the third didn’t work. There was no proper security or key, just a room card that failed, so I called reception four or five times to get a key and master card to open the room. The staff were also rude and didn’t know how to speak to guests. When I complained, they told me to check out immediately and hung up on me. The worst hotel I’ve seen. Pay 400-500 rupees more and find somewhere else.
