The room was disappointing, and paying extra still didn’t get us a cool, comfortable space. The TV’s display was badly disturbed and seemed like it might cause a short circuit. I had booked online for four people and paid for one room, but on reaching Bhopal, I was told the reservation covered only one person and was asked to pay extra for another room. It wasted both my time and money. The hotel was dirty, especially the unhygienic bathrooms. Staff were rude, slow to respond when called, and the management was unhelpful. Compared with this place, Hotel Ranjeet is much better, with luxurious rooms, budget-friendly prices, and good quality service at a reasonable cost. My experience here was completely bad, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The location is good, close to the train station, and the hot water worked well. The conditions weren’t completely unlivable, but at a similar price this was easily the worst place I stayed during two months of travel in India. I’m not especially picky. The booking site’s room photos were completely misleading. The room was very old and in a totally different state from what was shown. The AC was outdated and worked well, but they would randomly cut the power from outside. The facilities weren’t clean, and the bathroom had no proper ventilation, just a large hole in the wall covered with mesh. It seemed only the reception had been renovated, so the place looked new at first. At check-in they asked me to cancel my online reservation and pay cash. The price stayed the same and there was no cancellation fee, but the request felt dishonest and unprofessional. They charged 500 rupees for checking in a few hours early, and gave me single beds instead of the room I’d booked. They said pushing the beds together would make them a double, which was ridiculous, so I asked for another room. There were several Wi-Fi networks, and I had to try them one by one and ask for passwords to find the best connection in the room. I’d strongly advise against booking this place through an online platform.

I felt comfortable during my stay, with no disturbance and a smooth billing process. Breakfast was complimentary, and service was prompt throughout. One call was enough to get a request handled. I found the hotel myself within walking distance of bhopal railway station. The one issue was the tea and coffee, which were extremely watery. I also felt a little insecure when the receptionist asked us to leave our room keys before going out, since our luggage was still inside.

The veg soup was especially delicious, and the food was extremely good with reasonable prices. Staff were humble, and room service came on time. The rooms were clean, and the hotel is within walking distance of Bhopal Junction.
