Fabhotel The Pannis

The bathroom was filthy and unhygienic, and the sheets and pillow covers were badly stained. There was no power backup, so we were without electricity for three hours. I booked an AC deluxe room, but at check-in they said none was available and put me in a non-AC room, asking me to adjust for 4-5 hours. The ratings and room pictures are false, don't fall for them. The worst experience. If negative ratings were possible, I'd give one.

After a 30-hour train trip, we expected an easy check-in and a chance to rest, but even getting to reception was a struggle. The lift wasn't working, and reception was on the third floor, technically the fourth. There was no electricity in the room, so they moved us. The new room was dirty, with stained sheets, cockroaches and bed bugs, and they wouldn't give us clean sheets when asked. The fan, AC and TV didn't work, and the bathroom faucet leaked. There was no warm water when we asked to freshen up, just a reply that it was available only for morning baths. The receptionist seemed incompetent and looked about 14 or 15, though I may be wrong. He kept questioning the relationship between the three adults, one man and two women, despite our valid IDs. It was humiliating in front of my family. We later understood the property was mostly used for one-night stands or similar activities, and since we arrived late, around 8:10 pm, he seemed to judge us that way despite our luggage and how tired we were. I was also dealing with stomach pain and didn't have the energy to find another place, so we spent the night unsure whether the property was legitimate. I was unwell and politely asked if we could check out a couple of hours late, but he refused and said they'd charge the full day's rate if we left around 3 pm. What kind of service is that? The location doesn't make up for the lack of service and hospitality. This was a nightmare and the worst experience of my life. I highly would not recommend this place to any decent guest visiting Bhopal, and I don't want anyone to go through what my family and I did.

The hotel is hard to find, tucked inside a cramped wholesale medicine market complex. There was no TV, the AC didn't work, and food wasn't available. The washroom was unhygienic, with used condoms on the window. The place was disgusting, with lots of cockroaches crawling all over the room, including the bed, pillows, walls and almirah. The bedsheets, pillows and blanket were very dirty, and everything felt unhygienic. Worst hotel, location and service.

There was no property manager to welcome guests at reception, and the staff were nowhere to be found, busy smoking and making things worse for visitors. They were rude and arrogant. The rooms and washrooms stank, the washrooms weren't clean, and the broken window let mosquitoes and other pests come in. There was no hot water, working AC or TV. The bedding and sheets were full of cigarette ash and smelled of cigarettes. This was one of the worst stays of my week-long trip to Madhya Pradesh. I especially don't recommend it for couples or families. It's not kid friendly, and #FABSTAY should be ashamed of shortlisting such a pathetic place.
