The restaurant wasn't fully open, and meal times were odd and weren't explained clearly. When meals were missed because of this, staff didn't cooperate when we asked for service to make up for them. We were also promised ghat aarti and other activities in the package, but got nature walks and jamming sessions instead. Staff weren't welcoming to visitors, and I felt the yoga packages were being used to scam people during the off-season. If you're planning a proper yoga vacation, I'd avoid this place in the off-season.

I booked a retreat in Rishikesh recently, expecting to join a group. I'd paid in full and had communicated with them beforehand, but nobody told me there wouldn't be any other participants that weekend. I know from working in travel that unexpected things happen. How a company communicates and treats customers when they do is what shows its professionalism, though. I haven't had any reply to my messages about the issue. Clear information, timely responses, and fair refund policies are basic expectations. This experience reminded me to confirm the details before booking and choose providers that take trust and accountability seriously.

The terrace is a great spot, with things like karaoke and bonfires, and the view from here is the best. It feels especially suited to solo travelers or friends with a backpacker mindset, since people from different backgrounds and countries come through.

The shared space had such a peaceful, lively feel that it was easy to meet other travelers. The staff were really warm and always happy to share local tips, and the dorms were clean with comfortable beds. The location was just right, away from the noise but still close to the Ganga and local cafes. Staying here became the best part of my Rishikesh trip. Hare Krishna 🪷
