Hotel Golden Bliss

We booked a room at Hotel Golden Bliss, Pondicherry on Booking.com two weeks ahead and had a confirmed reservation. Still, after arriving we waited over 10 hours and never got a room. Nobody had told us beforehand that the hotel was full. If there was no space, they should have let us know instead of leaving us waiting after we arrived. The staff kept sending us back and forth, first to Treebo.com and then to Booking.com. There was no clear information or accountability, and the IVR systems never connected us with a live agent, so we were left stranded. The staff's behavior was also unprofessional. Assuming I didn't understand Tamil, they spoke disrespectfully about me right in front of me. It cost us time, energy, and money. A confirmed booking seems to mean nothing here. I strongly wouldn't recommend this hotel.

There was no power backup when the electricity went out at 5 AM, and the staff didn't even provide a towel. Later that morning, I tried calling reception and got no answer. I arrived around 2 AM, but the staff gave me no proper response, and people were shouting and making noise all night, so I couldn't sleep. My experience at Hotel Golden Bliss, Bhopal was very bad. The service, facilities, and staff care were all extremely poor. I wouldn't recommend it.

For the high price, the room condition and service were unacceptable. The room wasn't cleaned properly and hygiene was very poor. Breakfast was part of the booking, but nothing had been arranged for the morning. Really disappointing service.

The owner is kind and always willing to help. The hotel has very good service, and being near the highway makes it a great place to stay close to NH12.
