The hotel's one real plus is that it's close to Bhopal junction railway station. But the surrounding area is very dirty and unpleasant, and many hotels near the station are old and poorly maintained, so I suggest avoiding that area. At Hotel Richa, the staff were rude and unfriendly, and gave us used water bottles with no seal, so we couldn't tell if the water was clean. The rooms were in miserable shape, with very old interiors, dirty floors, and cracked walls. The bathrooms were the dirtiest I've ever seen, with slimy floors, hair left by previous customers, and slimy buckets and mugs. The toilet floor and closet were worse than a train's, so I couldn't use them. There were red pan spits on walls and switchboards in every room. The bed had yellow stains, and the dusty, dirty sheet and towel triggered a family member's dust allergy. The electricity went off repeatedly, and there were lots of mosquitoes. Don't book Hotel Richa just because it's affordable or the reviews look good. In my view, the good reviews are old and some may even be fake. However humble you are, you won't be able to adjust, and it could be the worst day of your life. In my experience, it was non-refundable, so you lose your money too because you'll definitely want to leave.
