The room itself was good, but the service wasn’t very good.

We chose this small hotel because it’s close to the Indian Coffee House, where you can get South Indian food. For Rs. 1400 a day in October 2019, the room had AC, TV, a telephone, and a decent bed. The room was small, but the amenities were commendable. The sanitary fittings were new, there was hot water around the clock, and the free Wi-Fi was fast. A concierge was on the floor to help with problems. We didn’t have anything specific to complain about, and it was good value, but neither the hotel nor the rooms had an ambience we liked. There was something that made it feel unsuitable for families, and the staff weren’t very professional. They played music loudly on their phones in the corridors.
The room was pathetic, just about 100sq ft and not suitable for a family. I booked two nights, from 12th Nov to 14th Nov, through OYO for 1950. At check-in, the hotel guy said he couldn’t let me in at that rate because it was too low, and charged me 2800/- instead. I booked after seeing all the positive reviews, but this is the worst hotel I’ve ever seen. It doesn’t deserve even 1star.
The rooms were very dirty and not suitable for families. The hotel owner was very ill-mannered. I and my family and group members had a very bad experience. Any Dharmshala would be better than this hotel.
After we had already prepaid online through OYO, the owner and manager still demanded money from us. They told us to cancel our booking, claiming OYO wouldn’t pay them, and pressured us to do it, saying they wouldn’t give us a room otherwise. OYO won’t refund your money in that situation. They’re ruining OYO’s name. Don’t get trapped at this hotel. My humble request.
