Hotel Lal Qila

The catering and food at my son’s welcome party at LalQila were excellent, but our overnight room was a miserable experience. Room 302 had no wardrobe or bathroom-door handles, a torn and stained towel, no packaged water, and no bucket or mug. They gave us two plastic bottles instead. The main lock handle was broken too. After I complained, we were moved to 303, but it was in the same poor condition. The bathroom had no water supply, and the room wasn’t hygienic either. We had booked just one room for the night. Please keep the rooms to at least a basic standard.

The room was in terrible shape. The bathroom floor was dirty and had mushroom growth, the walls were dirty, the windows were broken, and the lights didn’t work. This hotel needs maintenance.

The vekti fry was a good choice, but the main dishes were awful. The mutton and prawns were the worst I’ve ever had. I’d been to Lal quila once before and liked the vegetarian food, so this second visit was a huge disappointment.

The potato Hakka Schezwan had a strange smell and seemed improperly fried, with oil all over it. The kofta wasn’t good either. The food was awful and nowhere near worth the prices, so I wouldn’t pay for a meal here.
