Hotel Richi Palace

It’s an easy walk from the bhubaneshwar railway station, though the most convenient way to get there is through the parking area on the side. The hotel is old but fairly well kept. Rooms are large, clean, and maintained well, and the staff are quick to respond. Breakfast isn’t as good as at other Oyo hotels around the country. Even so, it works well for a traveller wanting decent accommodation by the station.

There were no toiletries in the bathroom, and neither the towel nor the floor mat was clean. The floor was so dirty I could feel the grime under my feet. The sheets and blankets were unclean too, and the blanket was worn, torn, and very smelly. I didn’t have a good stay. You can decide for yourself whether this hotel is worth the money.

I spent three days here and had a nice experience. The hotel is about 100m from the Bhubameshwar railway station, is easy on the wallet, and offers basic amenities and services. Deluxe rooms are spacious, with large bathrooms, and the staff were helpful and friendly.

For a one-night stay it might be fine, but I wouldn’t stay longer. The staff were ill-mannered and came into the room without knocking first. I had the worst experience of my life, with even basic facilities missing. They need to improve how staff treat travellers.
