I stayed for a month and found it homely, with a good environment. It’s in a prime spot for getting around, especially to tourist places. You can cook for yourself, and electricity is charged at the local unit rate. It was a good experience, and I can recommend it.

The room had a bad smell throughout, and the bathroom was covered in spider webs. It wasn’t clean either. I asked the caretaker for water and he didn’t bring any. Guests are asked to throw away the garbage, so I’m left wondering what the money they took was for. I didn’t like anything about the place.

The owner was very helpful and friendly, and offered plenty of advice even when I hadn’t asked. They also checked in kindly to see if everything was all right or if I needed anything. The rooms were clean and the place was quiet, away from city traffic. The price was moderate, and they even gave me the lower local rate instead of charging the foreigner rate. There was a bit of a feeling that I lacked freedom under the caring family’s attention, but that’s normal for a family guesthouse rather than a hotel.

It’s very close to the bus stand, but the rooms are expensive and there’s no facility inside. The AC and TV weren’t working, and the bed didn’t have a clean sheet. In my view, staying here was a waste of money.
