OYO Flagship 8346 LazyStays

The staff were very cooperative, and the rooms were good. It's a nice place, with prices that are comparatively low for the facilities they provide. Thanks.

The room and location were good, and the staff were well mannered. But we booked directly through OYO and had coupon discounts that made the rate much cheaper. When we arrived, the hotel staff told us to cancel and pay double for the same room because they said they couldn't provide it at that low price. We explained that OYO had given the discount and that I was sure they would compensate the hotel, but they wouldn't agree. We ended up cancelling the booking and paying almost twice as much to stay there.

I was booked here by my client with three other executives, and the property did not seem to honor the Oyo promise. I checked in last night and was asked to pay the full amount straight away. The balance wasn't returned until the next morning. The bedsheets hadn't been changed and had hair from the previous occupant. I asked for replacements, but the washed sheets also had stains. It was only sorted out when staff found a relatively clean set and changed them. Breakfast was included in my booking, but when I tried to order it in the morning, reception rudely said it would cost extra. I asked for an email address so I could forward the booking email showing the breakfast charge. The staff member quickly took back what he'd said and asked for my order, then asked why I hadn't ordered the night before. I asked for tea with the sugar separate. It arrived lukewarm at best, with no spoon or stirrer, and getting one took five minutes. The clean towel I requested had a couple of stains, so I didn't use it. I also had to ask again for the Oyo kit with soap and body wash. It was supplied grudgingly, after staff acted as if it should have been there already. There was a stink in the bathroom from the service shaft or duct. It seemed like garbage had been dumped there and the area hadn't been cleaned, though I didn't investigate the cause. I don't understand how this place can call itself a 3-star property. At best, it seems like an air-conditioned lodge. It makes me wonder if this is the Oyo service and customer experience people talk about on TV. I've seen many reviews below mine where Oyo Customer Service promised corrective action, but apparently nothing has changed.

It's in a prime location, with a lift and easy access to everything you need. The rooms are very clean and have attached bathrooms, though some feel a little cramped, which is okay for the price. Staff and reception were well behaved, and the breakfast they provide was tasty. It's one of the better maintained and serviced OYOs in that location. They don't have their own restaurant, though. BEST FOR COUPLES.
