Hotel BJ's By the Way

There’s a nice rooftop for food and drinks, and the place works for a family visit if everyone’s comfortable eating in a restobar. Drinks cost less than at other places, though there are only five beer mugs, and the beer selection can be limited. The staff do a good job, but with three dining and drinking areas plus room service, things may get hard to manage when it’s busy. They accept food cards, have good parking, and the location is handy for people working around Infocity. It feels safe, and they let customers know well ahead that the kitchen closes at 10.30 PM. The food used to be good, especially the vegetarian starter Paneer Chatpatta, but lately it’s been really bad. The restaurant needs to improve the taste of the menu and could use better lighting. The billing counter window opens onto the seating area, so loud conversations there disturb nearby diners. The men’s toilet is also quite visible from outside, which should be fixed if families are being allowed to eat and stay. It’s a good place to hang out, but a few changes and a livelier feel would help it compete with the newer restobars opening nearby.

The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean, and the staff are helpful whether you’re staying overnight or just coming in to dine. There’s a restaurant, bar, and spa, and the hotel sits somewhere very quiet. The restaurant food is decent, though not the best, and I felt it was a bit overpriced. Everything else was great.

I’d love to stay here again. The rooms are good, each with a lovely balcony, and the food and bar are nice too. It’s peaceful, with greenery all around and no disturbing noise. The hotel is a little outside the main city, with no shops or other amenities within 1-1.5 km, but Uber and Ola are readily available.

I’d stayed here before and really liked it, so I came back with high hopes. This time the service had dropped badly, while booking prices had shot up. My room was charged as having a balcony, but I couldn’t access it, and the bathroom was in really bad shape. I asked for drinking water and it never came. I was very disappointed and dissatisfied. I’d never recommend this hotel.
